On our second day there, we got up quite early (encouraged by sunrise at just before 4:30) and took our first good walk of the holiday. A nice easy stroll out to Coral Beaches, which is only a couple of miles from out base came.
By the time we came back it was close to lunch, so we made our first visit to Stein, when an excellent lunch is to be had at the Inn (and an even finer one I suspect at the restaurant down the street). After such a strenuous day {!} we just puttered about our estate and enjoyed a gloriously spectacular sunset.
Next day it was time to visit Glen Brittle, a special glen on the western side of the Cuillins. There we went to the Fairy Pools area near the top of the glen, which is in the group of corries where the river Brittle has it’s source, and whence it cascades down into the glen floor. The pools looked inviting, and there were a few kids from Germany who were swimming in them. The heather also began to bloom.
