Taking refuge from the heat
Last Sunday it was only in the eighties (26-29°C), but this weekend it hit the mid nineties with lots of humidity. So I’m taking a break from the great outdoors today, which gives me the chance to post some more shots from June 1st.
It was a beautiful day last Sunday with fresh breezes and the occasional cloud, unlike today’s unremitting, brutal baking from the sun.
The ‘race’ between the two masted schooner ‘Imagine’ and the small sloop who’s name I did not get was quite entertaining. Though I’m not sure of the drink imbibing paying passengers in the main deck area actually appreciated the overtaking maneuver and the jibe around the bows of the sloop. But it was fun to watch from the shore. Also look out for the wonderful bronze sculptures in the park along the Hudson River
